News-Antique.com - Jul 21,2008 - Designed for today’s professional personal property appraiser, the new blog delivers information, news and events from the personal property appraisal industry. The new Appraiser Workshop blog will regularly update appraisers on a wide range of topics including changes within the appraising field, technology tips, commentary, educational opportunities and news and information from appraisal organizations and fellow appraisers.
Appraiser Workshops partner Todd Sigety stated the reason for developing the new blog was to promote personal property appraisal news, content and commentary in addition to advancing the existing and soon to be expanded seminars and workshops scheduled by the Appraiser Workshops. Sigety says “with so many changes happening over the past several years, including changes to USPAP, report standardization, the pension protection act and renewed IRS scrutiny of personal property appraisals there is a crucial need for informative sites promoting topical discussions and the dissemination of quality appraisal related news.
Obtaining the right information at the right time is so important in today’s business climate. Many within the appraisal profession operate as “solo professionals” and instructive appraisal information and commentary that is not typically found on the more static sites of ASA, ISA or AAA. The new Appraisal Workshops blog will be a dynamic source site for appraisal related news, with regular updates and information.
As the blog traffic increases and the site develops, the main focus of the blog is to publish appraisal industry news, commentary, and opinions from the partners from Appraiser Workshops as well as fellow appraisers, links to sites of interest and perhaps even some embedded videos. Currently on the Appraiser Workshop blog are posts on a technology tips for appraisers, news of the Journal of Advanced Appraisal Studies, and the announcement for the Oct 4th & 5th Good, Better, Best Appraiser Workshop.
