News-Antique.com - Jun 20,2008 - As a TIAS Antique Dealer who requested your help before due to rising flood waters in Louisiana $ the 1993 MidWestern flood victims, I am now requesting the Antique Industry’s Assistance to the Victims of the MidWest Floods again!
All Americans hearts are with the MidWest flood victims during this time of crisis. Not only are homes being lost, there are many wonderful antique dealers throughout the MidWest losing income as well.
During a 1993 visit to my home state of Missouri my entire East Coast family spent the day driving the countryside to see the devastation left by the 100 year flood. My grandparents lived in a small French settlement called Sainte Genevieve 45 miles south of the great St Louis Arch & sits right on the Mississippi River. It’s a town that had visitors from Jesse James to the settlers of the Lewis & Clark Exposition.
On our return we began encouraging antique dealers to raise money for any non-profit agency assisting in the MidWestern flood disasters. We suggested they offer some special deal through their online or brick & mortar shops.
At “An American Antique Adventure” we are asking our customers to donate to the flood relief first. Then IF they have money to purchase antiques from us we will reward them with 10% off their purchase AND we will donate 10% of the final purchase price to the American Red Cross assisting in the Missouri floor disasters through 7/5. Depending on the weather we may extend the date.
The code to include with your order for the discount is included in our TIAS ad as follows:
Recycling hint #2: Recycle Re-using YellowWare, even fishing rods! Don’t buy new! Save 10% code:ReCy & we’ll donate 10% to the American Red Cross Missouri flood relief! Help the Planet! Help yourself, you get a charitable deduction, you feel good about recycling AND you get some new/old stuff!
