JOHN MORAN’S JUNE 2008 FINE ART SALE EXPECTED TO Pasadena, CA – On Tuesday evening, June 24th, John Moran Auctioneers will host the second of their tri-annual sales of California and American Paintings for 2008. The June sale follows on the heels of
a Mountain Lake, a signed oil on canvas by Maurice Logan (1886-1977) will likely not topple the world record Moran set for this artist in February this year ($180,500 for San Francisco Ferry Dock and City Skyline) but will no doubt perform well against its $15 – 20,000 estimate.
In all, 275 pre-1950 California and American Impressionist paintings, both oil and watercolor, will be offered. The sale will begin promptly at 6:30pm on Tuesday, June 24th at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, CA. Previewing will begin at 12 noon.
