News-Antique.com - Mar 28,2008 - Rob & Judi of Anderson's Restorations are forming the schedule for the summer and fall show and festival season. Popular at Heritage Festivals and Museum functions, they will come to your event and set up a display area and demonstrate chair caning, rush and splint seating and wicker furniture weaving. Along with display pieces, they also have display boards showing the many materials used in chair seating and especally wicker furniture. There are also samples that people can handle and take with them if they wish. The Andersons will answer questions and can also give a short "talk" on the many materials used, how to figure out what you may have and the seating materials that can be interchanged to change the look of the furniture.
Our only requirements for the festival or event is space to set up our 10x10 tent and area to set our display pieces. We will also look at any items people want to bring for evaluation of repairs and value. If a local museum needs some chairs caned, we will try to arrange to have the correct materials with us and do them for the museum during the event. We also will be displaying the first pieces of our line of wicker furniture
made in our shop, by us, in North Carolina. To contact us email is best andant@embarqmail.com or phone 336-679-3317
