An Evening Sale: Highlights from a Superlative
Modern Cellar

The Evening sale presents the best of the best from the past 25
years of winemaking in Bordeaux’s greatest vineyards. All five
Premiers Crus Classés as well as the right bank stars of Pétrus, Le
Pin and Cheval Blanc feature in this enticing selection presented
almost entirely in original wooden cases. Individual highlights
include 12 vintages of Pétrus in original cases, grands formats from
Yquem, Dominus and all the first growths, with large formats in
plentiful supply.
First Growth Bordeaux from an Exceptional Private Collection

This $2.5 million 470-lot sale will offer a wide
diversity of the finest Bordeaux, offered for the table,
for the cellar, or for the future, and presents an
excellent opportunity to stock up for the home, buy
for current drinking or consider an investment
purchase to lay down for a decade or more.
For the fine wine enthusiast with an immediate thirst,
the approachable 1993, 1997 and 1999 vintages will be
offered, including those from Château Mouton-
Rothschild and Latour; for the connoisseur’s home
cellar, the great 1982 vintage features, partnered with
the 1985, 1989 and 1990 vintages in abundance; and
for the patient collector with an eye to the future, a
tempting collection of the fabled 2000 vintage from all
of the top châteaux will cross the block.
Finest and Rarest Wines from an Important
West Coast Collection

Over a quarter of this 570-lot Los Angeles auction will feature an
immaculate collection of California top growths, including
sought-after vintages from Dominus and Opus One. From those
wineries, 12-bottle lots will be offered from the 1997 to 2002
vintage for Dominus, and the 1980 to 2002 vintages for Opus
One; and a number of rare large format California bottles will be
presented. This excellent selection is joined by a very substantial
offering of fine Bordeaux, including large quantities of Château
Pétrus, inextricably linked to the California Dominus offerings,
with both wines being produced by legendary wine-maker Christian Moueix. The sale is
estimated to realize in excess of $2.4 million.
