During the first four days (Part 1) of "Appraising Personal Property: A Core Course in Valuation Studies Featuring USPAP", Certified Appraiser and veteran appraisal course writer and instructor Dave Maloney, AOA CM teaches the principles and methodology of personal property appraising including terminology, valuation theory, governmental regulations, ethical and appraisal report writing standards, sample appraisal wording and much more including the day-to-day details of running an appraisal practice.
Part 2 of the curriculum is taught on days 5 and 6 and includes the complete personal property version of the 15-hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Course presented by AQB-Certified USPAP Instructor, Bill Novotny, ISA AM, GCA. Part 2 focuses on the requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers as set forth in USPAP. The course material emphasizes the role of the appraiser and the impartiality associated with this role. This tested course will fulfill the 15-hour requirement as established by the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of The Appraisal Foundation and will familiarize the student with what is the only nationally-recognized appraisal standard for appraisers.
