News-Antique.com - Feb 25,2008 - The White Ironstone China Association, a not-for-profit organization devoted to the study of English and American 19th century white ironstone china, is conducting a membership drive through April 30, 2008. Membership fees cover a fiscal year of June to May and are just $30 for up to two individuals in the same household. Folks who become WICA members during the membership drive will enjoy membership through May, 2009, and may attend both the 2008 and 2009 national conventions with the payment of convention registration fees. WICA’s 14th National Convention will be held May 1-4 at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg-Hershey in Grantville, Pennsylvania.
New members will receive a free copy of the WICA publication White Ironstone Teapots, An Identification Guide, which includes over 200 teapot body styles produced between 1840 and the 1890s by approximately 100 potters. Additional membership benefits include:
• A fantastic quarterly newsletter loaded with photos to support the educational focus
• Access to the WICA Shoppe to purchase a multitude of white ironstone-related books and pamphlets, back issues of newsletters, and WICA shirts and mugs
• The yearly WICA Membership Directory

To join, just go to WICA’s website, www.whiteironstonechina.com and click on Join WICA. Then print, complete, and mail the membership form along with a check for $30 payable to WICA, Inc., to WICA Membership Committee, P.O. Box 6052, Chesterfield, Missouri 63006-6052. If you don’t have internet access, write a letter to the Membership Committee; indicate your desire to join WICA and include your name, address, city, state, zip code and phone number as well as a check for $30 payable to WICA. You will receive confirmation of membership and begin receiving newsletters in June, 2008.
