$30/50,000), two from 1998 (est. $25/35,000 each) and four from 1995 (est. $12/20,000 each), as well as four cases of 1998 Le Pin (est. $12/20,000), two cases of 1989 Haut Brion (est. $10/15,000), two cases of 2000 Cheval Blanc (est. $10/15,000) and one case of 1982 Latour (est. $12/20,000). Eleven cases of Yquem ranging from 1990-1997 will also be featured among the Sauternes.
Selections from Burgundy include eight bottles of 1995 and four bottles 1996 Romanée-Conti (est. $4,500/6,500 per bottle and $5,500/7,500 per bottle, respectively) and one case of 1993 La Tâche (est. $12/18,000), and the Champagne includes eleven cases of 1990 Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame (est. $1,200/1,600 each) and eight cases of 1990 Dom Perignon (est. $1,800/2,500).
Wines from California will feature Screaming Eagle, Shafer Hillside, Dalla Valle Maya, Phelps Insignia, Harlan Estate, Grace Family, Heitz Martha’s Vineyard, Montelena, Caymus Special Selection, Araujo and Bryant Family. Represented from Australia are seven cases of Penfolds Grange ranging from 1983 to 1998.
Lunch will be served to registered bidders and everyone attending is encouraged to bring their own bottles of wine from their cellars to enjoy during the auction (there is no corkage). Alternatively, wines can be purchased at Aulden Cellars retail shop, located in Sotheby’s lobby.
