“Where has the time gone?” says Rosemary Trietsch, co-owner of Just Glass. “It seems like such a short time ago we were an online auction with 30 categories. Eleven years later, we’ve become the ‘largest glass information portal on the web’, encompassing everything that glass collectors need: articles, reproduction and show information, a chat board, and an online dealer mall with over 50 dealer shops offering over 12,000 items for sale each month! ”
JustGlass.com has seen the Internet evolve from a place where collectors cautiously bought items priced $50.00 or less, to a place where dealers commonly sell items priced into the thousands. “Our average price for an item in the mall is still $200.00 or less, however we also cater to the high end collectors market with dealers offering leaded lamps, and investment quality art glass.” says Reyne Haines, co-owner. “We like to think of Just Glass as having something for everyone; new collectors and seasoned glass enthusiasts alike.”
Just Glass has always offered more than just items for sale. Throughout its eleven-year tenure, Just Glass has continued to expand its resources to serve the glass collecting community. The recent purchase of JustOldGlass.org has enabled Just Glass to increase its database of glass information and images, and even offer a message board for members to get help with identification as well as meet others with similar collecting tastes .
“Every year we work to bring new features to the glass collecting community.” says Haines. “We’re excited to see what opportunities we’ll be able to offer collectors in 2008!”
