At Garth's big Nov. 23-24 auction of Early American antiques and decorative arts, a Late Classic Period Navajo serape blanket, circa 1875-1885, garnered significant attention with its fine weaving, serrated diamond pattern and vibrant medley of colors. The 51 inch by 73 inch textile sold through LiveAuctioneers for $32,400 against an estimate of $9,000-$12,000.

Bank Note No. 1 from Franklin National Bank
Money earned a high rate of interest in Kaminski’s Nov. 25 Annual Thanksgiving Auction. Thirty-four bids were lodged on bank note No. 1 from Franklin National Bank’s May 31, 1900 circulation. With a face value of $5, it was originally presented to W. H. Barnes, then-president of the Pennsylvania Railroad. In Kaminski’s sale, it produced a hefty return, selling online for $13,200.
