LARGEST ANTIQUE DIRECTORY ON THE WEB GROWS BEYOND 5,000 LINKS
November 20, 2007 — LOS ANGELES, Calif. CollectibleDetective.com is pleased to announce that the “Ultimate Directory of Vintage and Antique Collectibles” has reached its milestone one-year anniversary. Since launching in November of 2006, the vintage and antique resource has grown to include over 5,000 web links to specific areas of vintage and antique collecting. Visitors can instantly find personal collector sites, clubs, specialized dealers, museums, and more related to hundreds of collectible categories. Collectible Detective.com is free to use and there is no charge to be included in the directory.
“I’m confident that Collectible Detective is unique in its focus and infinitely valuable to millions of collectors and information seekers,” says Susan M. Clarke, the site’s founder. “We’ve received very positive feedback from users, and our main goal right now is just getting the word out.” Collectible Detective has experienced a steady 10-15% increase in hits per month during its first year.
In an effort to become the most comprehensive information resource for vintage and antique collectibles, Collectible Detective recently added several new categories of “general” antique links to augment its focus on specific collector areas, as well as a calendar of antique shows and events around the country, which is updated every Friday morning.
As a lifelong collector herself, Clarke is thrilled that antiques have found a way to co-exist with new technology, “and I hope that Collectible Detective will move into the future as a trusted portal into the past.”
