News-Antique.com - Oct 23,2007 - (Boca Raton, FL) – The “go to guy” for Art Pottery in South Florida, Jay Kielstock owner of J. K. Galleries in Boca Raton, has announced he will conduct an Art Pottery Only sale on Sunday December 30. Kielstock will hold the event at his Gallery in Boca Raton. After relocating to Boca Raton in late 2006, Kielstock has rightly earned a reputation for presenting some of the best, hardest to find examples of Art Pottery available anywhere in Florida and in most of the South.
The sale, scheduled to begin at 1:00PM on Sunday December 30, will include over 500 choice lots such as a one of a kind Moorecroft silver overlaid tea set, three dozen pieces of Roseville Futura, a large selection of Roseville Sunflower, a variety of middle period Roseville items and an artist signed Newcomb pot. Also in the inventory are many unique Weller experimental and hard to find pieces, a huge collection of 19th century standard glaze brown ware, Louwellsa, Utopian, and Rookwood among others. Examples of Arts and Crafts style Paul Revere Pottery, the offshoot of the Saturday Evening Girls movement of the early 20th century will be available as well as many other examples of Arts and Crafts including Van Briggle. While a few items will have reserves, more than 90 percent of the sale will be absolute.
Kielstock is running additional phone lines and plans to have twelve lines open to encourage bidder participation. The Gallery can be reached at (954) 421-2800. The sale will also be carried live online by LiveAuctioneers.com. Log on to http://www.liveauctions.ebay.com/catalogs/22911 to register for the sale, view the catalog as it is posted and to place early bids. Absentee bids are also encouraged and welcomed. Send absentee bids to the Gallery address at J.K. GALLERIES, INC., 8221 W. Glades Road, Suite #13, Boca Raton, FL 33434. Preview begins at the Gallery on December 26 and will continue to sale time.
