A third, ANS, in Latin, Jan 25, 1860 from Theodore D. Woolsey, Yale College.

Benjamin Silliman (1779-1864) chemist, the first to distill petroleum, and one of the first science professors, “Benjamin Silliman 1864” weakened with age. James Hadley (1821-1872) chemist, language expert and professor of Greek “James Hadley” small and clear. Thacher, (1815-1886) graduate of Yale and member of Skull & Bones, became a Latin professor, and was much loved by the students, though a stern disciplinarian, “Thomas A. Thacher” slightly faded.
