The image is of Ball at a desk surrounded by anti-Vietnam War posters, and a package in front of him labelled “US War on Poverty” while he wonders in the caption“...if the Canadian people will..accept..a per capita income less than three-fourths ours.” The US Capitol is in the background, and the artist’s inscription is on the desk blotter.

The theme is the Pacific Northwest, and the immense effect of the railroad on western settlement of the U.S. Size 23” x 14”. It longs for a place where it will feel at home.
