News-Antique.com - Jul 25,2007 - ATLANTA – For the second consecutive year the Atlanta Antique Gallery, located in suburban Chamblee’s celebrated Antique Row, has been voted “Best Antique Shop” in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s “Best of Atlanta” readers’ poll. The upscale showcase gallery prevailed against four other prominent antiques establishments in the Greater Atlanta area in a high-profile competition conducted by the largest daily newspaper in the South.
“We were surprised and thrilled to be notified by e-mail that we had won,” said Atlanta Antique Gallery’s co-owner Tricia Breckenridge, “but we do strive to be the best. We treat every customer with respect and work hard to keep a full house of dealers who sell only great antiques.” The gallery has been a consistent favorite with Atlantans since opening its doors in March 2003, also winning the “Best Antique Shop” title for three straight years in the annual readers’ poll sponsored by Creative Loafing magazine.
Atlanta Antique Gallery features 155 showcases and 22 showrooms maintained by 110 dealers. The gallery’s Web site (www.atlantaantiquegallery.com), which was launched in June 2003, has become “a business-generating powerhouse,” Breckenridge said, attracting more than 15 million hits per month and producing 45 percent of the gallery’s revenue. “We ship all over the world,” she said, “and our repeat-customer percentage is very high.”
