EUROPEAN GLAMOUR WITH CALIFORNIA STYLE The Redondo Beach International Antiques Fair Is The Antiques Event Of The Summer
At The Performing Arts Center
July 27, 28 & 29
News-Antique.com - Jul 17,2007 - It’s just like those bustling European and New England tented outdoor fairs, but with California laid-back style. The Redondo Beach International Antiques Fair, the West Coast’s most popular summer antiques event, returns to the Performing Arts Center for three big shopping days, July 27-29. Only fifteen minutes from LAX, the Fair presents top dealers from throughout the country and Europe in a unique setting that has made the show a favorite with visitors and area residents alike.
The show flows out from the Center itself onto the grounds in Renaissance-appointed tents. Strolling through the Center then checking out the individual “tented shops” filled with irresistible merchandise makes this a very special antiques shopping experience – one that brings back customers year after year. They love the diversity of the show as it offers a complete “menu” of antiques to suit every taste and collecting level.
Fine antiques, including Asian art, porcelain, silver, sculpture, rare paintings, prints, English and European furniture mix with coveted collectors’ items such as rare books, antique and estate jewelry, textiles, rugs, art glass under the canopies and in the Performing Arts building as well. The show is also an excellent resource for value-priced antiques and such popular collectible items as costume jewelry, vintage clothing, turn-of-the-nineteenth century furnishings, country antiques, Americana and those wild, eccentric 50s-70s collectibles that are just now becoming so valuable.
Fair hours are Friday 1-7pm, Saturday 10am-7pm, Sunday 11am-6pm. A Collector’s Preview is held two hours before opening time on Friday at 11am. The $30 fee ($25 for advance tickets) entitles admission to the fair for the entire weekend. Box Brothers, well-known in the antiques industry for their care and professionalism, are available at the show to ship worldwide.
The Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center is 15 minutes from the Los Angeles International Airport and just five minutes from the 405 Freeway, Inglewood Blvd. Exit. The Center is located at Aviation and Manhattan Beach Boulevards, where Manhattan Beach and North Redondo Beach meet. Free parking is available.
