News-Antique.com - Jul 02,2007 - BALTIMORE – Throughout the month of July, Geppi’s Entertainment Museum at Camden Yards (GEM) salutes America’s military with an invitation to visit the exciting pop-culture attraction free of charge. Any active or retired member of any branch of the United States armed forces presenting a military I.D. will be admitted to the museum with compliments of owner Stephen A. Geppi. Additionally, up to four accompanying guests will be given $2 off the regular admission price, per person. As an extra bonus, on July 4th only, those accompanying family members’ or guests’ tickets will be issued at half price.
“For all that our servicemen and women give to our country, we wanted to give back,” said GEM Executive Director Wendy Kelman. “GEM celebrates 230 years of American pop culture, and we hope the protectors of our country and this legacy will enjoy sharing it with their families.”
“This is a particularly fun time to visit the museum,” Kelman added. “Our special exhibit, ‘The Force™ is with Us: 30 Years of Star Wars®’ celebrates the 30th anniversary of the toys originating from the original motion picture. It’s a great exhibit that appeals to all ages.” The exhibit runs through September 15, 2007.
Regular adult admission to GEM is $10, seniors $9, and students age 5-18 $7. Children under 4 are admitted free. GEM will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the month of July.
