The foundation of Ornate limited commenced in 1986 by an awe inspired young artist of Yorkshire decent, Mark Tuffs. His fascination with the detail and sheer opulence of period swept plaster frames, lead to an intensive research and restoration phase of these mirrors and frames.
Marks enthusiasm and dedication did not stop there. He set about perfecting unique moulding and compound techniques to replicate from the original masterpieces near perfect replicas that could stand the test of time for all lovers of art to appreciate.
Two decades on and Mark has achieved his goal, creating the intellectual property to perfectly replicate these wonderful masterpieces, handcrafted and limited in edition.
