Leitz, a member of the Board of Directors, this 107 page volume contains over 450 references to inkwells, inkstands, and other ink related items, and includes a complete catalog of the Society’s Library holdings. The bibliography is divided into four sections: Title Listing, Subject Listings; Citations (including abstracts); and Journals. A CD containing the complete electronic version is included.
The bibilography is first and foremost about inkwells and inkstands but it also contains references for items related to ink such as writing, pens, paper and other desk accessories. It is a complete catalog of the holdings of the Society of Inkwell Collector's Library. There are references to related topics such as manufacturers, materials, styles, and periods which may aid in the understanding of a particular style or company.
It is believed that this is the most complete source of reference listings that can be found in one volume for inkwell related writings. Many of the sources are available through the SOIC Library.
