TIAS expands "Make An Offer" system for selling antiques & collectibles Site is testing expanded use of Make An Offer system in inventory search results.
News-Antique.com - Nov 30,-0001 - Garden City, New York - January 16, 2007 - TIAS.com the Web's oldest and largest online antiques & collectibles mall today announced that they have begun testing of a new "Make An Offer" feature on their inventory search results pages. This new option is now displayed in the site wide search results, giving shoppers the option to either purchase an item immediately or "Make An Offer" to sellers that offer this option.
Over the past few years, the antiques and collectibles market has shown rapid change. It has become more and more difficult for sellers to keep up with market trends and the ever changing values of antiques and collectibles. In an effort to help their merchants address these rapid pricing changes, TIAS is expanding the visibility of the dynamic pricing offered by their "Make An Offer" purchase option, by integrating it into their inventory search results.
Although TIAS has offered their merchants this pricing option for many years in their individual stores, this is the first time that the "Make An Offer" option has appeared in the popular site wide search of over half a million antiques and collectibles.
"We've only had the 'Make An Offer' option appearing in the inventory search results for a few days now, but our preliminary results from this test are showing that customers seem to like it." said Phillip Davies, president of TIAS.com "We'll continue evaluating the new purchase option for the next week or so, then make a decision on whether or not to keep it, expand it, or remove it from our search results."
