Christmas cards sent by Elvis, JFK and the Royal Family
Here at WIW2U we are getting ready for the holidays and hopefully you are too. The last minute preparations, gift buying, family arrangements, and of course sending out those dearly loved Holiday Cards.
We decided to filter through our huge database of appraisals and find some interesting Christmas cards sent by some very famous people.
We start with “The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” himself, Elvis Presley. Born in January 8, 1935, “The King” remains the most talked about and written about performer. He was known for his on-stage highly energetic performances both vocally and physically. Elvis died on August 16, 1977. Even though there were concerns about his health, his death was a huge shock to his fans. A deadly combination of being over-worked, obesity, depression, bad diet and sever abuse of prescription drugs eventually took its toll on the talented artist. Regardless, his popularity as a singer and actor has survived his death. To see a Christmas card signed by “The King” himself and find out the value, go to this link:

The next Christmas card we stumbled across was sent in 1957 when ‘future’ President of the United States of America, John F. Kennedy, was a Senator. Born May 29, 1917, John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the 35th President serving from 1961 until his assignation in 1963. During his presidency major events included the Bay of Pigs invasion, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the building of the Berlin Wall, the Space Race, early events of the Vietnam War, and the American Civil Rights Movement. John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald on November 22, 1963. The assassination has remained one of the most controversial events in American history.
