AntiqueWeek Website Introduces RSS feeds In its continuing efforts to provide services that collectors, dealers and enthusiasts can use, AntiqueWeek newspaper has been busy adding innovative features.
News-Antique.com - Nov 30,-0001 - KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. August 18, 2006 — AntiqueWeek online, www.antiqueweek.com, has added RSS feeds to their news stories. An RSS feed, or Really Simple Syndication, is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites, news-oriented community sites and personal weblogs. "We launched our RSS feed at http://www.antiqueweek.com/rss/news.xml
and plan to launch additional feeds in the near future. Our RSS feed contains an average of 6-10 stories per week. We will frequently select stories from a wide range of topics in the antiques industry: from auctions, to glassware, to antique shows and events to reproductions and collectors clubs. At this point, we have found that we are one of few RSS sources in the antiques news industry. And, if a blogger links to one of the stories in our RSS feed, his/her audience will have free access to that story. AntiqueWeek subscribers can further browse or search on antiqueweek.com from there," said AntiqueWeek’s associate publisher, Tony Gregory. He goes on to say, “However, anyone who is not a subscriber can sign up for 4 weeks free of the printed newspaper and full access to the website to further investigate the stories or features they are interested in”.
Always striving to provide the best service, AntiqueWeek will continue to add new elements to the website during the next few months.
For additional information on the new AntiqueWeek website, contact Emily Myers or visit www.antiqueweek.com. The main content of the website is updated weekly to release news in the same timely manner as the printed newspaper.
