News-Antique.com - Nov 30,-0001 - Ed Tuten, ISA is starting a radio call in show March 10th featuring verbal appraisals, and a short segment with an in depth discussion on a subject in antiques and collectibles. In the first week the show will feature Bill Johns, who is a member of the American Cut Glass Association and the owner of Antique Warehouse located in Memphis on Summer Ave.
Ed, who has done estate sales (tag sales) in Memphis for the past five years has opened a consignment shop in Bartlett, TN, Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, and wanted to offer a local radio program where people could talk about their antiques and collectibles and exchange some thoughts about value and collecting. This is going to be a fun show with small prizes for contestants and perhaps a laugh or two. We are going to make the effort to talk about value, what an appraisal is, how to determine condition besides the obvious of cracks and chips, what are fakes and how to discover them, where and how to buy from dealers and collectors who are knowledgable and value the client before the sale.
The show will be on WMQM 1600am Friday afternoon from 4:00pm to 4:30pm The radio station's web site is http://www.wmqm1600.com and the program can be heard on the internet. If you would like to be a guest please call me at 901-758-2659 or email me etuten551@aol.com
