the Feb. 18 York Toy, Doll, Holiday & Advertising Show will draw one of its largest exhibitor turnouts ever. Morphy also has initiated the most comprehensive publicity campaign to date, in an effort to bring more buyers through the door. Still, he believes a healthy percentage of the show’s growth continues to come from word of mouth.
“I think we’re doing everything right in terms of catering to the dealers, and as a result, we have the best names in the business at our show. When you have the best dealers on board, the collectors will come. The word is getting out there that this is not like any other East Coast show, and I’m committed to continuing to build its reputation as a show not to be missed.”
Dan Morphy’s Antique Toy, Doll, Holiday & Advertising Show takes place from 9-3 on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Toyota Center, York Fairgrounds, in York, Pa. Admission: $7. Early buying is from 10-5 on Friday, Feb. 17 (early admission: $50). Parking is free on both days.
