The Great British Antiques Web is drafting an advertising feature - Antiques In The West of England and Wales – which will extend up to two pages is scheduled to be published in the quality US trade weekly newspaper, Antique Week at the end of February 2006. Antique Week has a weekly circulation of 50,000 copies across central and eastern USA. Timing of the feature will also ensure that it hits additional distribution of 20,000 copies in western States.
The objective of the feature is to promote antiques resources in the West of England and parts of Wales. Bristol International Airport is central in the region, which is served directly with daily flights from New York and connecting cities beyond. Ron Heath at GBAW says, “Our objective is to produce an article which will create an impact on the reader with informative editorial totalling about 50% of the publication on how extensive antiques supplies are in this area for US buyers, and will be complimented by advertising of the remaining space. Some limited, cost effective, display advertising spots are available before we reach deadline, the take up so far has been excellent”.
