News-Antique.com - Nov 30,-0001 - A Staffordshire Lad is pleased to inform you of a large selection of Chintz items recently acquired and added to the store. 15 items have been added during the last week from factories of note such as Shelley China, Midwinter, Lord Nelson and, of course, Royal Winton (Grimwades). Patterns include Summer Glory, Somerset, Summertime, Welbeck, Old Cottage, Marion and Royalty and further listings will be made from this large collection over the coming days. To see the items visit www.tias.com/stores/staffslad/ or the link above and either browse New Items or the Chintz categories.
A Staffordshire Lad is brought to you direct from the Pottery City of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. Specialising 100% in Ceramics from the region and with particular emphasis on the Factories and Designers from the first half of the 20th Century and encompassing the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods which are greatly reflected in my own collecting preferences.
Whilst browsing the store, Art Pottery Factories such as Sampson Hancock, Royal Stanley and Bursley can be found along with the famous names of the designers who worked for them: Charlotte Rhead, Frederick Rhead and William Moorcroft to name but a few.
Contrast this with delicate and beautifully decorated shapes of Shelley China, a particular favorite, and the rich, busy colors of Chintz Ware from Royal Winton, Crown Ducal and many more and you will find a feast of shapes, patterns, colors and styles from the most famous and documented region of Pottery manufacture.....And with a range of prices to suit every collectors pocket.
I very much hope you enjoy your visit to my store, be it with an interest to buy, to browse or simply in search of knowledge. My aims are to please and your comments and queries will be greatly appreciated and welcomed as we discuss your “pottery investments” from my home Town.
