Mama’s Treasures Opens Lottie’s Kitchen on eBay A New Year is approaching and it’s time for the old saying “Out With The Old & In WithThe New” to take hold.
News-Antique.com - Nov 30,-0001 - A New Year is approaching and it’s time for the old saying “Out With The Old & In With The New” to take hold. The question of what to do with old stock has always plagued dealers in the Collectible and Antique Market. Do you hang on to it waiting for the right
person to come along, put it out to auction, take it to the local fleamarket, or try to dress it up in some way to make it more attractive? How long is too long to wait before putting an item out to pasture so to speak. For every dealer you ask there is a different answer.
Some will never do it, others might wait years. There are some who feel six months is too long. I have been known to cut the price on an item that was a month old which probably means I never should have bought it in the first place.
Mama’s Treasures has old inventory just like everyone else. Frankly, I’ve grown tired of looking at a lot of it. In an attempt to be proactive, I have opened an eBay store called Lottie’s Kitchen, which accepts offers on all items listed at a fixed price. It can be found at
http://stores.ebay.com/Lotties-Kitchen. I have also created a new category in my home shop, Mama’s Treasures, called Make Me An Offer Please!! It has over 275 items, some of which have already been reduced, that I am asking customers to make offers on. There
are items from every category in my store in the new category. I will accept any Reasonable Offer. In addition, there will be a 15% Off Sale from January 1st through January 8th.
Mama’s Treasures specializes in kitchen items, especially from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s era. However, I know that the kitchen is not everyone’s cup of tea. I collect a lot of what I call old stuff that I think you might find amusing or strike a nostalgia cord. My personal
favorite is Household & Cosmetic Advertising. You will find that as well as Primitives, China & Dinnerware, Pottery, Postcards, Books, Vintage Christmas, Lady’s Hats, Hankies & Gloves, and Home Decor & Accessories.
If you’re looking for something special at a reasonable price, you might just find it at either Mama’s Treasures or Lottie’s Kitchen where I love to answer your questions or just chat about things. I want your offers so don’t be shy about asking for a deal. I promise to give you my very best price. Mama’s Treasures is a fun place to browse and a great place to shop.
