The courses are on Telephone Conference Calls. You can join from anywhere if you have a phone. Handouts will be downloaded by internet.
The course is "Antiques Hunting with Confidence" It is aimed at an audience who enjoys antiquing but have never undertaken any education. The course is aimed at making the hunting experience fun and it is hoped that the sessions will save you money and embarrassment if you do not know what you are doing. Veteran Hunters will be fascinated by a look at the subject through another’s eyes!
After the first complimentary introductory course, the main course will discuss silver, porcelain and china, auction etiquette, how to protect yourself, who to trust, book suggestions, how to tell new from old, and old from antique, furniture session, how to acquire the skills and knowledge of a professional, no need to be terrified and intimidated!
The sessions start with a special complimentary session for TIAS members and others who are interested, on Tuesday November 8th, 2005.
