News-Antique.com - Nov 30,-0001 - It's a Labor Day tradition! On Monday, September 5th, we offer you the 21st annual Lasdon Labor Day Antiques Fair from 10 AM until 5 PM (last admission 4:30). Just to clarify the change of address, even though Lasdon is in Somers, the mailing address is Katonah as well as the closest highway exit. To correspond to MapQuest and for ease in locating the Park, we have opted to list the show in Katonah.
Customers arriving between 10 - 11 AM (or until the pots run dry) will be treated to complimentary coffee or tea. Lasdon Park and Arboretum is located on Route 35, 3 1/2 miles West of Route 684 exit 6. From the Taconic Parkway, Yorktown/Route 202 East exit, follow Route 202 to Route 35 and turn left for 3 miles. Katonah/Somers is 20 miles North of White Plains and 10 miles South of I-84.
A Catered Affair will offer food and live music will be performed by singers, Bob and Norm. There is ample onsite free parking. Kettle Corn, a show favorite, will be available. The Friends of Lasdon will once again be conducting a PLANT SALE!
We will have up to 50 booths at this outdoor, rain or shine antiques show. Just a sampling of what they will be offering includes Oriental carpets; old English Staffordshire transfer-ware; Roseville and other art pottery; Orientalia; antique and estate jewelry; sterling flatware; crystal; antique maps (local, State International); antique Botanical and Natural History prints; Wallace Nutting hand colored photos; vintage clothing and ladies accessories including handbags, shoes and hats; fine porcelains such as Royal Doulton; high end signed designer costume jewelry including Boucher, Pennino, Weiss and Eisenberg; Deco era chrome; Fraternal items; ephemera; Mexican silver jewelry and hollowware; paintings; lots of vintage furniture including Shabby Chic; folk art; and much more. Ambling through Lasdon Park and Arboretum is always a wonderful way to spend more time. There are memorials representing all the wars on a moving trail through the woods as well as lovely gardens to explore.
Admission is $6 which benefits Westchester County's Friends of Parks. With this email presented, save 50¢ for you and your party. Children under 13 are free. If you need more info, call us, email us, or visit our web site at CordShows.com. Dogs are not permitted in Lasdon Park. This is strictly enforced by the park employees.
