News-Antique.com - Nov 30,-0001 - On the first Saturday of each month, the Cannon Village area of Kannapolis, NC turns into a vintage car show. People from miles around bring their vintage cars and park them in the West Avenue loop. The owners delight in showing and explaining what all they have done to their cars. The town provides vendors for food and entertainment. It has grown from a couple of hundred to more than 5,000 people attending. It creates a party atmosphere that lasts late into the evening.
Our store, Pecan Hill Antiques, is located on West Avenue and we stay open late on Car Show nights to give the visitors time to shop. Our sales of vintage car license tags have doubled, plus any other car related item we may have. Also, the ladies enjoy browsing our store for many other antiques and vintage items. We carry a large assortment of glass, pottery, silverplate, coins, books, linens, and more. Recently we acquired some Minton Indian Tree items, Gildea & Walker soup bowls, Fenton opalescent dot optic vase, Hull "Poppy" planter, a Staffordshire copper lustre pitcher, Fiesta deep plates and more. In our vintage book section-we have over 2,000 books, including biographies, religion, science, history, children's, westerns, mysteries and more. Plus many magazines and other related items.
