collectors. It is extremely hard to find and one rarely is put on the market. The book value ranges from $200.00 to $250.00. However the market value is much higher. After speaking to many dealers across the country, the average sale of this item ranged from $450.00- $650.00. A gold decorated one sold last March in an ebay live auction for $869.00. The pottery company produced many figurines and miniatures that were originally sold as inexpensive decorations for plant arrangements. Who would have thought that such tiny objects would have become so soght after and valuable.

Shawnee Pottery was produced in Zanesville, Ohio from 1936 to 1961. They are best known for their figural cookie jars such as Mugsy, Puss n Boots, and Smiley as well as their King and Queen Corn line of dinnerware. They also produced planters, vases, tile, lamps, kitchen items, and many figural miniatures. It's similar in style to the other pottery of the time such as McCoy, Hull, and Red Wing. In fact Shawnee produced pieces for both Red Wing and Rumrill. One of their premier designers was Louise Elizabeth Bauer who had caught the attention of Addis E. Hull.
Other new items added recently include Leaded Stained Glass Windows, Blue Sapphire, Primitives, Jewelry, Hazel Atlas, Pink Pyrex, Vintage Kitchen Collectibles, Lamps, Advertising, Limoges, Bavaria and Lefton China. Although Mama’s Treasures specializes in kitchenalia, the owner believes in having something for everyone. You never know what kind of treasure might be waiting for you at Mama’s Treasures.
