London Sculpture Week Galleries, UNITED KINGDOM A recently discovered and highly important bust of one of America’s founding fathers, Gouverneur Morris, by the outstanding French sculptor Houdon will be unveiled during London Sculpture Week at the
a period of seven thousand years. These extraordinary
pieces come from areas that are regarded as the cradles of civilisation: the Mediterranean, the Near East
and modern-day Afghanistan. Rossi & Rossi will be staging a special exhibition of Mongolian gilded
sculpture, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. John Eskenazi will exhibit a range of exceptional
sculptures, particularly Gandharan terracotta, as well as in other media.
During London Sculpture Week all the galleries will be open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm,
Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5pm and on the opening evening, Wednesday 15 June, from 5pm to 9pm.
