This is a fine example of a highly collectible Victorian or Edwardian pools of light set, featuring a long 30” necklace with a total of 19 undrilled sterling wrapped 12mm genuine rock crystal balls and a matching 7” bracelet with 5 balls. The connecting sterling chain has a pretty twisted knot effect - looks a bit like a fancy horse bit. I have examined each crystal carefully – one orb on the necklace has a small chip and another a bit of roughness where the silver frame holds the ball, but aside from that there are no other chips or cracks to any of the other crystals. It does look like a bit of chain may be missing at the clasp of the necklace, but the jumpring has been soldered closed, so I am not sure if it is original or an early repair. There are a total of 24 crystal balls and the necklace is sufficently long enough you could make a pair of earrings if you wanted and have a complete parure!
